I realized that I've been dissatisfied with my house, and frustrated that we can't afford to fix it up in various ways. I'd been allowing myself to feel "this house won't feel like home until..." rather than rejoicing in what REALLY makes a home - my family, my relationships, my visitors and friends, the activities that happen within the walls. I may never finish painting (or gyprocking) the walls. I may always have paint flaking off the ceiling, and a tub that leaks into the office. But I'm learning to let go of that ideal house and embrace my wonderful, chaotic, loving HOME. <br /><br />Your house is a nice house. So was your last house.
